Enloe Charity Ball Fund Grants Emergency Relief to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

Dear WCPSS Families,

Enloe Charity Ball is proud to announce that our fund with the North Carolina Community Foundation has provided an emergency grant of $5,000 to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

We believe in a society that validates youth as capable of creating change for generations to come. We believe in WCPSS families. Today, we believe in Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

Enloe Charity Ball had the privilege of partnering with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle in 2014 as our 10th beneficiary. The Food Shuttle’s work to feed and support Wake County Public Schools families is more important than ever. We are committed to supporting their efforts now as much as we were 6 years ago. The amazing work they are doing to keep our community healthy epitomizes what it means to be alive with purpose.

We want to recognize and thank the Jamie Kirk Hahn Fund for its match of $1,750 as well as other anonymous donors that have leveraged a total gift of $8,500. We would also like to thank the North Carolina Community Foundation for providing us the ability to fulfill our promise to give back to our community in times of extreme need.

Due to the national emergency surrounding COVID-19, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle needs financial support to continue the feeding of WCPSS students and the larger Enloe community while schools are closed. This grant will help sustain Inter-Faith programs such their “Mobile Market, ” which provides pre-packed boxes of perishable and shelf-stable food items (available for everyone). Follow WCPSS coronavirus updates to find information on Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Mobile Market locations and resources for free meals for children.
